What is the Re-enactment?
The re-enactment is a weekend festival of Medieval history and heritage, focusing on the history of the battle of Blore Heath. The re-enactment has been running at Blore Heath Farm since 1998, and gets bigger each year.
When is the Re-enactment?
Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September 2009, 11am - 5pm both days (the battle is always held on the weekend closest to the anniverary of the battle)

How much does it cost to get in?
Adults: £7.00; Children (6-16): £3.50. (children aged 5 and under free). Price includes programme, entry fee and parking.
Advance tickets are available from Market Drayton Customer First and Tourist Info Centre (01630 653114) at the discount price of £6.00 Adults and £3.00 Children.
What time does it start?
11am - 5 pm both days (battle re-enactment at 3pm)
What else is there to see and do?
- Full Late Medieval battle re-enactment with expert commentary
- Medieval military displays including drill, archery, cannon.
- Medieval combat tourney (one-on-one combat with weapons)
- Guided battlefield "Walk-and-Talk", with a Blore Heath expert.
- Living History (walk through the authentic camps and talk to the re-enactors)
- Medieval market.
- Have-a-go archery.
- Children's area - brass rubbing, Medieval puppet show, etc
- Medieval music from Minstrel band
What food/drink is available?
- Fully licensed bar including Real Ale.
- Hot-dogs, burgers, Hog Roast
- Tea and Cakes provided by St Mary's Church, Mucklestone.
- Sweets, chocolate, soft drinks, ices
Are there toilet facilities?
Yes. There are male, female and disabled toilets.
What is the access like for disabled people or people with limited mobility?
Disabled badge holders will be able to park close to the entrance. Wheelchair access to the farm-buildings is possible. However, please bear in mind that the battle itself is held on farmland so wheelchair access is difficult. Please contact us if you have any specific questions.

Can I bring a dog onto the site?
Dogs are allowed as long as they are kept on a lead at all times. Please be aware that the re-enactment will contain very loud bangs (cannon fire).
Is there anything else I should know?
- The battle is held on a field - please bring suitable footwear
- The re-enactment will feature very loud bangs (cannon fire)
- In the interests of safety, some re-enactment events may not take place if the weather is very bad
- The schedule of events is subject to change without notice
